Ireland-based dance artist Oran Leong holds a double hons BA in music and 'an Nua-Ghaeilge' and an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance, both with First Class Honours. His movement background stems from nearly two decades of Irish dance. Having trained and competed at national and international platforms, with three World Championship titles, he is a qualified teacher (TCRG) as of 2016.
A freelancer, Oran’s career to date has been quite varied. As well as a teacher in Irish and contemporary dance, he has performed with and for a number of national and international choreographers including Iseli-Chiodi, Kristyn Fontanella, Monica Munoz Marin and Justine Doswell. On TV, he has mentored contestants for TG4’s Irish dance series ‘An Ríl Deal’ in collaboration with RTÉ and Adare Productions.
